Purple Pushpin vs Chamber Nation
Chamber Nation publishes its whole price list, which is rarer than it should be in this market. The question is not whether they are honest about the price. It is what the price does as your chamber grows.
Prices checked September 2026, from Chamber Nation’s own pricing page.
The short answer
Chamber Nation charges per member, per month, on a sliding scale from about $1.35 down to $0.65 a head. Purple Pushpin charges $129 a month regardless of how many members you have.
At a hundred members the two are within six dollars of each other. At three hundred members Chamber Nation is roughly twice the price. At a thousand it is five times. Recruiting members is the entire job of a chamber, and one of these two prices punishes you for doing it well.
| Your members | Chamber Nation | Purple Pushpin | Difference per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $135/mo | $129/mo | $72 |
| 200 | $250/mo | $129/mo | $1,452 |
| 300 | $345/mo | $129/mo | $2,592 |
| 500 | $475/mo | $129/mo | $4,152 |
| 700 | $595/mo | $129/mo | $5,592 |
| 1,000 | $650/mo | $129/mo | $6,252 |
Chamber Nation’s figures are from their published per-member bands. Neither column includes setup.
The website is an add-on, not part of it
This is the part worth reading the price list carefully for. The monthly fee above is the membership system. A website is charged separately, at $20 per page with a ten page minimum, plus $25 a month to host it. QuickBooks integration is $500 once plus $25 a month. Text messaging is $20 a month per thousand messages.
So a chamber of three hundred members wanting a fifteen page website and QuickBooks is looking at $345 plus $25 plus $25 a month, plus $300 for the pages and $500 for the integration on top of the setup fee. That is $4,740 a year before the one-time charges.
Purple Pushpin is $129 a month with the website in it, and $2,000 once to build it. Over five years that chamber pays about $23,700 to Chamber Nation and $9,740 to us.
On their setup fee, an honest note. Chamber Nation’s pricing page says setup “starts at $1,450” in its text, while its own table shows $1,250 for the smallest band. We could not reconcile the two, so we have not picked one. Ask them which it is.
When Chamber Nation is the better choice
You are small, or you want out any time
At a hundred members Chamber Nation costs six dollars a month more than we do, and at that size the difference is not a reason to move. If you are a small chamber already running on it happily, staying put is a perfectly good decision.
They also sell month to month with thirty days notice, which is genuinely rare here and genuinely valuable to a board that has been burned by a long contract. We ask for a $2,000 build up front, which is a bigger commitment on day one. If your board cannot approve a capital expenditure this year, that is a real obstacle and their model solves it.
And they do a great deal of hands-on work for their chambers beyond the software. If that service is what you are buying, compare the service, not the line items.
The differences that are not about money
- Growing your membership does not raise your bill. That is the whole difference in one sentence.
- The website is included, not priced per page. Adding a page costs you nothing and needs no one’s approval.
- Your dues go to your own Stripe account. Chamber Nation’s pricing page does not state its payment processing terms; ours is that we never touch the money.
- Your site is WordPress, so leaving means exporting a standard site rather than negotiating for your own data.
Every feature, whatever size you grow to
$129 a month for up to 10,000 contacts, locked for two years from the day you start, and a $2,000 website build. It reads the same at 80 members and at 800.
See the demo → or tell us your renewal date and we will hold a build slot.
